Burn Baby Burn!

A "Burn" is a process by which your focus and intention guide the cleansing flame to remove unwanted energies from a space.

It is advised you read and understand the entire article in its entirety before you begin  It is also Best viewed on a Computer.

(Disclaimer – You are dealing with open fire, flammable liquid, melted salt and a scalding hot vessel. Use best practices to ensure your own safety. Neither Quietus Ltd nor its employees are not responsible for any injury or damages sustained during the use of the products. Use at your own risk.)

Fire is one of the four basic elements of our natural world. All have witnessed its destructive prowess. Most have seen and used some of its beneficial aspects. Fewer are aware of one particularly useful aspect of fire. Its power can be harnessed by anyone to help clear energetic debris and cleanse a physical space.

The key, like in all energetic matters, is the focus and the intention of the person controlling the “Burn”.

Items Needed for a Burn

1. A fire proof vessel, preferably metal with something to act as a lid to put out the flame. The vessels contained in the Burn in a Box kit are ideal.

2. Approximately 2 tbsp of Epsom salts (depending on the size of the vessel).

3. Enough rubbing alcohol (70% or higher) to cover the Epsom salts.

4. An instrument to produce a flame (matches or a long neck lighter work best).

Prep for the Physical Space

1.Open all the doors to rooms and cabinets in the space.

2. Put the vessel on the ground or a sturdy flat surface away from anything flammable.

3. Pour in the Epsom salts into the vessel.

4. Pour in enough 70% isopropyl alcohol to cover the Epsom salts.

5. Now refocus your control over the fire, on what and how the fire will consume all of the debris that you command it to.

DO NOT sit/stand too close to the fire vessel; it will flare up during a successful cleansing process.

6. Take a deep calming breath and light the Epsom salts.

Guide the Burn

1. Focus on the fire consuming all the negative energy and energetic debris in your immediate vicinity. You will notice the fire will flare, growing higher as it begins consuming the debris. The higher the flare up, the more debris is being removed.

2. Feel the fire drawing all the debris from the major space, as it gets cleared the fire will slowly begin to “settle down”. Guide the fire to pull debris from all of the corners of the space.

3. Once the area of focus is clear of energetic debris, the fire will settle down and stay lower. If you use techniques such as muscle testing or a pendulum, this is a good opportunity to use that technique to double check that all debris has been removed. The more you use this “Burn” technique and become aware of the subtle changes it creates in the energetic fields of a space. Soon, you will be able to easily identify if the space is completely cleansed by feel alone.

4. Once you are certain that the first space is clear, guide the fire to pull from the next closest physically connected space. The fire will flare again as it begins cleansing and consuming the debris from the new focus area.

5. Repeat the previous processes, room by room and space by space until you have finished.

6. Depending upon the amount of energetic debris in space being cleansed it may take more time than there is alcohol to fuel the process. If that is the case the fire will slowly begin to diminish and sputter out during the cleansing process. Physically, you should see that all of the liquid has burned off and there is a bubbling white crystal sludge at the bottom. This is okay. Once the fire is completely extinguished you can add more alcohol and continue.

Be VERY careful the vessel will be extremely hot and as you add more isopropyl alcohol it may cause the sludge to spatter. Once you have added the isopropyl alcohol ,you can relight and continue your “Burn” process.

7. Once you have finished clearing all of the space you desire, to the desired degree of cleanliness, you simply extinguish the fire and let the vessel cool in a safe place.

Congratulations, you have successfully removed harmful energetic debris from the desired space.

You should notice immediately that the space feels lighter and more open. It will now be easier to maintain calm, focus and higher productivity in that space. You may also notice it is much easier to work with your own energies and operate at a higher frequency for longer periods of time while doing energy work.

Follow Up

It is recommended that you do a burn at least once a week as part of your personal energetic hygiene practice. If you are a practicing and active energy worker it is recommended that you increase the frequency of the burn process in your work space to 3 times per week or once a day. It all depends upon the degree of energy that passes through and fragments in the space.

The hope of this article is to provide you with the tools and skills to take charge of the energies in your place of residence or work.

FAQ

Why Should I Do a Burn?

The purpose of the “Burn” is to cleanse and transmute the energies of a particular space.  Think of it as deep cleaning a space from all of the emotions and thoughts that get stuck in it.

Why Can't I just Smudge My Space?

The practice of smudging is ubiquitous in the energy worker community as is using Frankincense and Myrrh in churches or incense sticks in temples. The smoke created by these operates at a higher energetic frequency and assists in the elevation of our minds, bodies and spirits. This is excellent.

Beyond the issues of cultural appropriation, what has been lost in modernization of the process is where the smudging occurs.  Originally the places of ceremony were made of natural materials such as wood, hide, bone or stone. Filling the space with "good vibrations" from the smoke would push out the bad and attract the good.

What are our places of ceremony now? Homes and businesses with smaller spaces and all of the modern conveniences. Think of how many synthetic chemicals are in the drywall, the paint, the wallpaper, the tile grout, the insulation, the carpet and glue, the electrical wiring and the glass of modern structures. There is very little energetically that can just "pass thru" and out of our spaces.  So when a smudging is performed in home, where doees all of the "bad stuff" go?  It gets packed and condensed into the corners and ignored places of home. But it is trapped and can't leave the space no mater how much you Smudge. All you are doing is packing more and more clutter into a place. (There are work arounds depending on the layout of the space, but most often these are overly time consuming or impractical).

This the benefit of a Burn before Blessing.  The Burn clears out all of the old stagnant energy, pulls out from all those dark corners and gives you a "clean slate" to work with when you call in the new with the Blessing ceremony.

How Do I Set My Intention?

Many have found it useful to write out a list focusing on the desired items removed before beginning the Burn. The energies of previous tenants, the gloom of negative emotion created after a heated argument or removing the energetic debris created by household and personal electronics that builds up like invisible dust bunnies can be removed using a “Burn”. Broad or general terms and concepts are okay, but the more specific you can be, the more effective the removal process will be.

Here is a list of items you may wish to remove:

  • Energetic Debris
  • Residual Emotions
  • Thought-forms
  • Emotional Constructs
  • Spells
  • Hexes
  • Curses
  • Energetic parasites
  • Energetic Cords, Anchors or Attachments
  • Negative patterns
  • Malicious Antennas

Once you have a firm grasp of what you want energetically removed, you can begin to focus on the physical process.

Why won't the fire light?

1. Is the container is too small?

If you are not using one of the Quietus Ltd Burn vessels, try using a different vessel.  If a different container does not work, and there are no apparent physical causes inhibiting the ignition then there may be an energetic interference in the space.

2. Is there a draft?

If there is a possible draft, try shutting windows or doors, or moving away from ac/heating vents.

          3. Is the alcohol or air temp too cold?

Warm the alcohol container under warm water or move the Burn process to a warmer locvation.

4. Is there TOO MUCH interference?

The interference may be caused by you, the person initiating the burn (if you are experiencing personal energetic

issues). Take a few deep calming breaths and try again.

If the cause is not internal then it can be concluded that the interference is external, in the space. It may be caused by an overabundance of energetic debris. Try physically moving to a different location. Most of the time, relocation should alleviate the lighting issue. If it does not, it is highly recommended that you contact a trusted energy worker to help in ascertaining the specifics of the situation and to provide possible solutions. There may be a more serious cause to the interference.

Why Won't the Fire Stay Lit?

Not enough alcohol? - Carefully try adding more to ensure the Epsom salts are covered.

Is there a breeze? Try moving to a new location within the space.

If during your process of “Burn” cleansing you guide the flame to pull from a space and the flame goes out with no other physicl cause, you may have discovered an entity in that space.

Relax and take a deep breath. Revisit your process, and retrace your steps.

Where were you guiding the flame to pull from when the fire went out? Did you notice any changes to the energetic or physical space when the flame went out?

Now try lighting the vessel again and repeat the above process. When guided to that space, does the flame go out again? Try physically going to that place placing the vessel there and lighting the isopropanol. Does it refuse to light? Does that place feel different than the rest of the freshly cleansed space? It there any particular feeling you experience while occupying that space that does not persist when you leave it?

If the flame keeps going out, it is recommended that you seek assistance from a trained Energy worker for assistance.  If none are available send an email to Quietus Ltd at quietus.963@gmail.com and we will assist you.
